The Countering Violence Against Women series was created by Truthdig to give a prominent platform to writers and activists who campaign against the exploitation and physical abuse of women and girls around the world. Eunice has been the Chief Editor of the series since its inception.

The subjects of CVAW articles have included prostitution, pornography, domestic violence and sexual abuse, rape, child marriage, incarceration, the sale and “leasing” of female body parts such as breast milk, hair, and wombs, mail-order brides, mistreatment of female athletes, and female refugees and undocumented workers.

Countering Violence Against Women reports stories that are not often covered by the mainstream media. Society often silences women and girls who have been brutalized, as well as those who have survived such ordeals. CVAW lets their voices be heard.

The Truthdig Book Review, which Eunice has directed since 2011, explores noteworthy books—new and old, fiction and non-fiction. Subjects range from climate catastrophe, homeless families, Latino agriculture workers, underground female poets in Afghanistan, war crimes in Vietnam, opioid addiction, the trauma of abused children, and the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement, to Bruce Springsteen, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Marx Brothers, and teeth.
